Rhine bridges in the Lower Rhine region, the Rhine is both a source of life and a transport route and at the same time of great economic and political importance and has been for thousands of years.
The Romans had already set up numerous camps here, which did not always have an easy time crossing the Rhine. Today, however, there are numerous bridges across the Rhine, making it quick and easy for thousands of drivers, cyclists and pedestrians to cross every day.
