There are numerous stories and legends on the Lower Rhine and over the Lower Rhine. This is not surprising since the Lower Rhine has a turbulent past and is characterized by some almost mystical landscapes. If, for example, fog banks lie over the fields in autumn and spring, or clouds of fog float over the bogs or through the idyllic forests, then the Lower Rhine shows its very special side.
