The Berliner Tor was built between 1718 and 1722 and was one of the former city gates in the fortress of the city of Wesel. The gate is flanked on the outside by the statues of Minerva and Heracles, each standing between 2 columns. Above the archway, the crown and the coat of arms show the former claim to power of the Kingdom of Prussia over the city of Wesel.

Today the Berliner Tor houses the Italian restaurant “Ristorante Bellini”, where you can enjoy Italian-Mediterranean dishes such as antipasti, salads, pizzas, pasta, meat & fish dishes in a simple ambience. The lunch buffet with antipasti & warm dishes and desserts is also very popular. Note: The restaurant is not barrier-free, it can only be reached via stairs.
