The Pfalzdorfer Tannenbusch nature reserve is part of the Reichswald (forest) and lies between Goch & Bedburg Hau.

The area is one of the oldest pine forests on the Lower Rhine and was used in particular at the height of mining on the Lower Rhine as a supplier of wood for the coal mines on the Rhine. Today, however, the area of the Tannenbusch ( fir bush ) is used as a recreation area by people from the surrounding cities and is home to many animals.
