The Maas-Schwalm-Nette nature park is located in the districts of Viersen, Heinsberg, Kleve, and the city of Mönchengladbach, as well as the province of Limburg, in the Netherlands. In the nature park, which is characterized by river landscapes, wet meadows, swamp forests, moors and heathlands, you will find smaller, attractive nature reserves, which you can experience up close via well-marked hiking or cycling trails or the waterways.

The following nature reserves are located within the Maas-Schwalm-Nette Nature Park: Krickenbecker Lakes, Schwalmtal, Brachter Wald, Elmpter Schwalmbruch as well as the Schaagbach Valley, the Heidemoore, the Lüsekamp and others in the Dutch area of ​​the Maas-Schwalm-Nette Nature Park.

The scenic and diverse local recreation area of ​​the Maas-Schwalm-Nette nature park has an area of ​​over 700 square kilometers, of which about 400 km2 are on the German side. Visitors from the surrounding area as well as from the nearby Rhine metropolises Düsseldorf and Duisburg appreciate the wide range of offers and the wonderful natural scenery.
