The Kirchheller Heide with its kilometers of bike and hiking trails is part of the Hohe Mark Nature Park.

The Kirchheller Heide is characterized by forests, meadows and heathland, which are traversed by small streams such as the Rotbach and the Schwarzbach. In addition to old trees such as beeches and oaks, you will also find newly reforested pines in the Kirchheller Heide. Kirchheller Heide also includes the Heidesee, a former quarry pond, which today offers a habitat for numerous plants and animals and has become a biotope in which bathing is prohibited. A circular route leads you around the nature reserve.
