The Museum of Coffee Technology in Emmerich shows the beginnings and advances in coffee roasting in an exhibition.

From 1864 onwards, coffee roasting devices were manufactured industrially for the first time, after various types of containers attached over an open fire had been used to roast coffee for almost 1000 years. In order to bring the beginnings and advances in coffee roasting closer to the visitors, but also to the company’s employees and trainees, the manufacturer of coffee roasting systems, Probat, has opened the museum for coffee technology on the company premises.
Those interested can view the remarkable exhibition of 1,000 historical exhibits by making an appointment in advance. These include roasting machines from Germany and abroad as well as an exhibition of more than 500 household and commercial coffee grinders
