The monastery museum Kloster Kamp is located on Abteiplatz in Kamp-Lintfort in the region of the Lower Rhine and is well worth seeing.

The museum gives you the opportunity to learn about the history of the Cistercian order and the Kamps monastery. Modern audio and visual media as well as original works bring the eventful history closer in an interesting way.

A special exhibit is the so-called “Kamper Antependium”, an altar curtain from the 14th century. You can also see old parchment manuscripts and elaborately embroidered liturgical vestments. Including a magnificent miter from the 18th century. Also worth seeing is the “Kamper family tree” from 1728. It shows the daughter and grandchildren monasteries founded by Kamp. A visit to the museum shop is recommended due to the diverse range on offer.
