Duisburg City Museum shows exhibits about the city’s history in a permanent exhibition and also organizes special exhibitions.

The museum also shows the Köhler-Osbar collection, which consists of around 500 antique art and utility objects, 200 pieces of jewelry and 70,000 coins from all over the world.

No less worth seeing is the collection of globes and atlases by Gerhard Mercator, the most important cartographer of the 16th century. Guests can also browse and study at computer terminals.
