The Moyland Castle Museum was opened in 1997 and the great collection of works of art has been very popular ever since.
Museum Moyland, the collection of the van Grinten brothers, not only shows numerous works by Joseph Beuys, but also paintings, sculptures and drawings from over 200 years of art history. In addition to the largest Beuys collection in the world, drawings, paintings, sculptures and photographs are further focal points of the collection.
A selection of more than 60,000 works of art from the van der Grinten collection is shown in a permanent presentation in the castle. In addition, changing art exhibitions as well as the numerous cultural events make the museum a cultural center of international importance.
