The small cable crank ferry Wachtendonk is located on the edge of Wachtendonk in the region of the Lower Rhine on a circular hiking trail that also leads past one of the so-called water views. From this vantage point one has a special view of the river Nette, which also meets the river Niers here. The ferry is moved across the river by turning the crank wheel (on the ferry or on one of the banks).
