The old waterworks in Wesel is a very interesting technical monument in North Rhine Westphalia, that can be viewed by appointment.
The old waterworks with its old steam engines and pumps is one of the most important technical monuments in the Rhineland. The drinking water educational trail run by the Wesel municipal utilities, which owns the water works, is also very interesting. The waterworks was in operation until 1956 and was declared a technical monument in 1983. The waterworks can be visited all year round by appointment.
