On the area of the Tüschenbroich Castle there is a historic water mill (Water Mill Tüschenbroich ), which is located on the bank of the castle pond, which is fed by the Schwalm river.
In the 19th century a pub was attached to the mill. And even today there is a restaurant in the mill. Located in the middle of the local recreation area Tüschenbroich Forest, the restaurant and in summer also the beer garden is a popular destination for cyclists, hikers or families who want to explore the beautiful region of the Schwalm from here.
