The Steprath windmill was built in the 15th century on Walbeck’s highest point and is one of the few tower windmills in Germany.

The Steprath Mill is very popular with tourists and locals as it is still fully functional today. The Steprath Mill is one of the oldest functioning windmills in Germany. It can be visited from April to October. Guided tours are possible by arrangement. Delicious baked goods are also sold in the adjoining bakery. If you want, you can enjoy small snacks and drinks directly on site, for example to strengthen yourself for a bike tour.
