At the end of the 14th century, the old mill tower in Kranenburg on the Lower Rhine was built as part of the city fortifications and flour mill.
The Kranenburg mill tower was used as a mill for centuries and was also part of the city’s fortifications. Today the mill tower is one of the sights of the historic city center. Furthermore it is home to a permanent exhibition of the history of the tower and the region. The mill tower is part of the Museum Katharinenhof Kranenburg.
