Moyland Castle is one of the most beautiful castle complexes in the region of the Lower Rhine and is well worth seeing.

In the past, the unique neo-Gothic palace complex served as the residence of princes and nobles. Today Moyland Castle belongs to the foundation of the same name. In the course of time, the buildings of the palace received various structural changes.
Today’s appearance with its towers and battlements was created in the 19th century. Since 1997 Moyland Castle has housed the former private art collection of the van der Grinten brothers, which is unique with its numerous works by Joseph Beuys. Also worth seeing is the castle park with its moats, avenues and beautiful flower beds as well as sculptures in the park. Not to be forgotten is the great herb garden.
