The medieval Linn Castle in Krefeld on the Lower Rhine is worth seeing and always worth a visit.

On the one hand the buildings of the castle are worth seeing and on the other hand there is a circular route through the park around the medieval castle. The former Electorate of Cologne is located in the district of Linn and the oldest parts of the building date back to the year 1200. In the course of history, the castle was expanded and sometimes even destroyed, for example during the Spanish War of Succession in 1702. Today the castle is in well worth seeing, and is one of the sights of the city of Krefeld that one should have seen.

Specials: The Museum Burg Linn shows, among other things Roman finds from the region. In the hunting lodge there is the carillon, which plays on weekdays at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. and also on Sundays at 2 p.m. The park is ideal for walks. In summer, the museum’s outdoor dining terrace is also popular.
