From the former Uda Castle in Oedt on the Lower Rhine there is still an old round tower and some parts of the wall. Nevertheless, the medieval tower is worth seeing. You also have the opportunity to go up to the tower via steps. From there you have a beautiful view of the surroundings and the Lower Rhine landscape. However, the tower is only open on certain Sundays.

Castle Uda Grefrath
History: First mentioned in a document in 1313 – extensively renovated for the 700th anniversary.
Guided tours: Castle tours during the season on the 1st Saturday of the month at 2 p.m.

Specials: After 123 steps you have a wonderful view of the Niers landscape, but the tower is only open on certain dates. From the parking lot at Uda Castle, hiking trails lead to the river Niers.
