The castle tower on Burgplatz in Düsseldorf is located directly on the Rhine promenade and is one of the city’s landmarks.
The tower is the last remnant of a former Renaissance castle from the 16th century. The master builder of the castle tower, in which the Maritime Museum is located today, was Allesandro Pasqualini, who gave the tower its characteristic appearance. A highlight of the tower today is the bistro at a height of 33 m, from there you have a wonderful view of the Rhine.
