Hülchrath Castle is located in the town of the same name in the Rhine district of Neuss and is more than 1000 years old.
The castle was on the one hand a place of refuge and on the other hand a witch’s dungeon. Today you can see a gate tower in the Gothic architectural style behind the upstream moat. And although the castle has suffered some destruction in the past, the castle with its outer bailey leaves an imposing impression. Today Hülchrath Castle is privately owned and used as an event location.
