Boetzelaer Castle Kalkar
History: Boetzelaer Castle is located in Kalkar-Appeldorn and is one of the oldest and most important castles in the German-Dutch border area. The oldest parts of the castle date from the 13th century. The castle was inhabited for over 500 years by the von Boetzelaer family, which is where the name of the castle comes from.
