Lower Rhine Monuments

In the region of the Lower Rhine you will find numerous monuments that testify to the eventful past of the region on the Rhine. Some of these are still in focus today, while others have been forgotten. Some monuments are at the center of some towns, so that they catch everyone’s eye. but the meaning of many monuments has been lost.

The purpose of the erection was to commemorate special events and people with memorials, monuments or plaques. The design of the monuments, which were erected in the form of statues, busts and plaques, is just as varied.
