Lower Rhine Gardens Parks
In the region of the Lower Rhine you will find numerous beautiful gardens and parks that invite you to linger or stroll. While these parks were an expression of the prosperity of their owners in the past, many gardens and parks now serve the residents and visitors of the Lower Rhine as an oasis of peace and relaxation.
Some of the gardens and parks can also compete with international competition. It is said that the monastery garden in Kamp-Lintfort served as inspiration for the Sanssouci palace park. The so-called “green lungs” sometimes have a large number of plants and trees, and their garden designs bear witness to a wide variety of garden art.
The Lower Rhine has a 2000 km long, well-signposted network of cycle paths. You can rent bikes on many places.
